WELCOME TO THE REC CENTER CROSSFIT
CrossFit by definition is "constantly varied, high-intensity, functional movement." But what does that really mean? It means that CrossFit utilizes simple human movement patterns (squating, pushing, pulling, jumping, etc.) in a wide variety of ways to acheive one end result: "a broad, general and inclusive" level of fitness. The nature of the compound, multi-joint movements that are involved in CrossFit workouts make CrossFit an extrordinary core conditioning program.
The aim of CrossFit is to make you stronger, faster, and more efficient in life and whatever your life entails, whether that is being able to carry your own groceries up the stairs, coach your kids' sports teams, rock climb on the weekends or compete in the CrossFit games, we have the programming to get you there! Another major component of CrossFit is that everything is measureable, observeable and repeatable. Everyday, you will get a "time" or "score" for your workout. You will log the data and use it as a means to track your progress. The ultimate reward for your hard work is to revisit a workout and CRUSH your previous time or previous score!
